Highand View Hospital, 1956
In addition to his duties at Temple Beth-El, Rabbi Genuth acted as Jewish chaplain of Highland View Hospital since its opening in 1953. The hospital, which specialized in treating chronic illnesses, was the only facility in Cuyahoge County to have a joint chapel used by clergy of different faiths. Pictured above, from left to right, are Rabbi Genuth, Reverend William Shively (Protestant), Father Bernard Scarborough (Catholic) and administrator Roger Marquand. | Source: Cleveland Public Library, Digital Photograph Collection
