Rabbi of the Heights Temple for 46 years, Rudolph Rosenthal was B'nai Jeshurun's first Cleveland-born rabbi. Rosenthal was an ardent Zionist, and under his leadership the Temple on the Heights became the first American congregation to associate with Zionist Organization of America.
