This was one of the Glidden Co.'s factory buildings in the Cleveland area. It stood on the corner of Berea Road and Madison Ave in Lakewood. The Glidden family sold the paint company in 1917. With new owners, the company began extensive research in oil-based products, and by the mid-20th century developed interior and exterior latex paint.
