In 1865, John Palmer purchased Moses Warren's house and land from Warren's son, Moses Warren Jr. Palmer and his son, Charles A. Palmer, farmed the land. The land was sold and subdivided into smaller parcels in the 1920s as Shaker Heights developed into a residential suburb.
