The Mysterious Silas Fuller

The Mysterious Silas Fuller
Born in northeast Ohio in 1823, Fuller was the son of a carpenter. He became a carpenter too, as did several of his brothers. Whether he actually built the Fuller-Collins House and whether he and his family ever lived in it are mysteries that research has failed to resolve. In his later years, Fuller lived by himself in a house in Ashtabula filled with antique clocks that he had collected over his lifetime. This photo of him with one of those clocks appeared in a Plain Dealer article in 1901. | Source: Cleveland Public Library, Digital Newspaper Collection
