This section of the 1858 Map of Cuyahoga County shows the street grid of Newburgh Village Center in that year. The village was just beginning its transformation into a steel production center in northeast Ohio. Note the houses on Miles Avenue, to the east (right) of that street's intersection with Pittsburgh Street (Broadway Avenue).
