Sportsman Restaurant, ca. 1950s
This 63-year-old establishment, among the longest in continuing operation in downtown and a longtime haunt of politicians, judges, and lawyers, and a pregame stop for Browns players and fans, closed in 2010 to make way for the Global Center's construction. The deli-style restaurant was still fairly new in this 1950s postcard view, but the location had previously served as another restaurant. | Source: Cleveland Memory Project, Cleveland State University Library Special Collections
