The Standard Building, 1965
In this photograph taken from Erieview Tower on E. 12th Street, the Standard Building on the corner of Ontario Street and St. Clair Avenue still appears as one the taller buildings in downtown Cleveland. That would change over the course of the next several decades when the Justice Center (1976), the 200 Public Square Building (1985) and the Key Tower Complex (1991) were built. To the right in this photo, the 31-story Anthony J. Celebrezze federal building--ten stories taller than the Standard Building, can be seen going up. | Date: 1965 | Source: Cleveland State University, Michael Schwartz Library, Special Collections
