The Kimberley brothers--Alexander, Frederick and David, serve as an example of immigrants who arrived in Cleveland in the mid-nineteenth century as the city was transitioning from a commercial hub into an industrial powerhouse, and became successful, not by becoming industrialists, but instead by becoming merchants.
