Shaker Heights Rapid Transit passing NKP

CTS was not the only public transportation in the area that was suffering at the time. Many of the suburbs had their own transit companies and most of them were facing financial setbacks. The Shaker Heights rapid transit had to increase fares as much as 20% to stay financially even. In 1971, Euclid was more than $400,000 over budget for the year and showed no signs of increasing revenues.
