The Union Trust Bank operated the Rose Building for the Estate of Benjamin Rose. In the late 1920s it added an annex to the rear of the building and made a number of renovations, including a new lobby with an Italian rose motif in memory of the building's namesake.. As this ad notes, Rose's gamble paid off.
