D. S. Brainard Mausoleum
David S. Brainard, who owned a 180-acre farm on Scranton Road as of 1874, was Titus N. Brainard's uncle. He was also the grandson of Ozias Brainard, who migrated to Brooklyn in the Western Reserve from Connecticut in the 1810s. His father, Ozias Brainard Jr., built the first framed residence in Brooklyn. The Brainard and Fish family names were ubiquitous in Brooklyn at that time. | Creator: ©Jo Ellen Corrigan on Flickr, used with permission | Date: November 7, 2015
