In May, 1971, Sutton Place opened its doors to the public. The new townhouses featured modernized plumbing, electrical, heating and air-conditioning equipment. The first floor included living and dining spaces, with bedrooms located on the second story. Each unit opened to a private patio at the rear, which faced towards open park space.
