Hampstead Road, Looking West From Lee Road
Open lands sitting behind a commercial property on Lee Road, just south of the Hampstead Road intersection, became the Moreland neighborhood's first public park in 1964. Three lots, including a home, were purchased from Nicolina Lupica for $23,500 in 1964. Nicolina acquired the property in 1924. The land was previously part of the Corlett family homestead, until being purchased by Van Sweringen Company interests in 1923. | Source: Cleveland State University, Michael Schwartz Library, Special Collections
