This sketch, which appeared in the June 29, 1901 edition of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, shows the extensive land holdings that John Hartness Brown had assembled and controlled north of Euclid Avenue and east of East 9th Street by 1901. Muirson Street and Chestnut Avenue, shown on the sketch, are today, respectively, East 12th Street and Chester Avenue. Hickory Lane still exists, but no longer has an access point on Euclid Avenue. | Source: Cleveland Public Library, Historic Newspaper CollectionDownload Original File
