Calvary started out as a wooden chapel with 73 members. As membership grew, reaching an estimated 250 members in 1880, the wooden chapel was replaced by a stone chapel designed by Charles F. Schweinfurth, arguably the dean of Cleveland's Millionaires' Row architects. The large sanctuary was completed and dedicated in 1890. On May 22, 1891, Calvary Presbyterian Church was officially incorporated. | Date: c. 1940s - early 1950s | Source: New Life at Calvary
