Rocky River Valley

Rocky River Valley
Pictured above is Cedar Point Road in the Rocky River Valley, just down the road from the future location of Frostville. Prone to flooding, valley land was used by the region's earliest settlers for farming and grazing. Much of the low-lying area along the Rocky River was purchased by the Metropolitan Park Board following the 1920s for building its park system. | Source: Olmsted Historical Society
