James A. Bohannon operated the Peerless Motor Car Co. at 9400 Quincy Avenue until the Depression. He negotiated the rights for US production of Carling beer in 1934, and a decade later purchased the Forest City Brewing Company. The $3m expansion of the Quincy Avenue plant in 1953 spelled the end of the old Forest City Brewery, however, and the facility and all of the equipment were sold. | Date: June 7, 1953 | Source: Special Collections, Cleveland State University LibraryDownload Original File
