William J. Roberts (1844-1919)
Known as "W. J.," Roberts grew up in Cincinnati, but came to Cleveland in the 1870s where he made his fortune as a principal in a lead factory in the Flats. Later in his life he served as President of Brooklyn Savings & Loan Association.
