Tornado Damage, Lorain 1924

Tornado Damage, Lorain 1924
The tornado of 1909 was upstaged only 13 years later by the June 28, 1924 tornado that killed 85 people, 72 from Lorain alone. The storm lasted less than 2 minutes and caused millions of dollars in damages. Every church in Lorain was damaged, many losing their steeples and because of the regulation on building height following the 1909 tornado they could not be rebuilt to their earlier splendor. | Source: Cleveland State University.
