Rustic Architecture

Rustic Architecture
The buildings of the River Road Camp were constructed of chestnut wood in a Rustic Style. This architectural approach was typified by the use of native materials, an avoidance of rigid lines to give an appearance of pioneer craftsmanship, and the scaling of structures to achieve congruence with the natural surrounds . Rustic Style buildings were generally hand-built, single story structures with minimal decoration. | Source: Cleveland Metroparks
