A Cleveland Hero

A Cleveland Hero
The only monument in Cleveland to Isaac Campbell Kidd, one of the city's most important war heroes, is this Ohio Historical Marker. In a ceremony held on December 7, 2003--the 62nd anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor, the marker honoring his life was placed near the Naval Reserve Station on Marginal Road just east of East 9th Street. Today, the marker stands on the east side of East 9th Street, just north of Lakeside Avenue, outside the fence of the new Cleveland Moorings Coast Guard facility built in 2012. | Source: Jim Dubelko
