Birthplace of Rear Admiral Isaac Campbell Kidd
One of Cleveland's most important World War II war heroes was born in this house at 3059 Mabel Court on March 26, 1884. The house was built in 1875 or 1876 by Elihu and Susan Peck, nineteenth century real estate developers. The Pecks built at least one mansion on Franklin Boulevard and sold to Robert Russell Rhodes the land upon which he built his mansion there, but they likely intended to developed Mabel Court, as this 1957 photo of this house suggests, for buyers of a lower economic class. | Source: Cuyahoga County Archives
