Coventry School Upper Playground, ca. 1958
The addition to Coventry and the shift in elevation is highlighted in this photo, as well as a school playground we would not see today. Architect Franz Warner's creative usage of an oddly shaped parcel allowed for playgrounds at two different levels, making the most of an awkward site. This photo was taken from what is now the east edge of the parking lot along Washington Boulevard. | Source: CH-UH City School District
