A Drink of Water
The back of this undated photograph reads "Taken in Palmer House front yard on Ingleside Road." One of the women pictured is Mrs. Chase Palmer. The Palmer family purchased Moses Warren's land and house in the 1860s.

Notice the expanse of farmland in the background. Throughout Shaker Heights, residential neighborhoods exist on what were once family farms.
