This ad promotes folk music performances on Friday and Saturday by Bill Moss, Judy Duncan, Jim Jenkins, and Phil Kantos (flamenco guitar); an Easter Sunday jazz concert by Joe Alexander Quartet and Al Taylor (vocalist); and a Hootenanny on Wednesdays, with the call the "Bring Your Axe." Hootenannies were informal folk music jam sessions. "Axe" was slang for musical instrument, especially guitar. The club charged a $1 cover on weekends. | Date: April 13, 1962 | Source: Case Tech (Case Western Reserve University Archives)Download Original File
