In 2022, University Circle, Inc. announced that it was planning to create a plaza in Wade Park honoring Olympic great Jesse Owens. The plaza is located just north of the Lagoon. The oak tree, which can be seen in the center of the plaza in this June 3, 2023 photo, was cloned from one of the original oak trees given to Owens in 1936. | Source: J.
