This drawing demonstrates the immense popularity of Lake View Park. People would bring their entire families to the park to walk around, relax, and spend time together. The bountiful trees and small boats by the shore set this drawing during the height of the popularity of the park but obscure the fact that industrialism was already becoming a predominant presence along most of the city's central lakefront. | Date: 1888 | Source: Album of Cleveland, Ohio.
