The Unscathed Northeast Corner

The Unscathed Northeast Corner
If you take a walk today west on the south side of Lorain Avenue toward Fulton Road, as I did in April 2022, and you see this beautiful four-story Beaux-Arts style building with raised basement on the northeast corner of Lorain and Fulton, you can't help but feel that it is entirely out of place at an intersection where the other corners are mostly vacant land, parking areas or gas stations. The Lorain Street Savings Bank Building should be gone, but fortunately it is not. It is one of only two nineteenth or early twentieth century commercial building still standing at the Lorain-Fulton intersection. | Source: Jim Dubelko
