Halle Bros. Delivery Truck

Halle Bros. Delivery Truck
This Halle Bros. delivery vehicle sits in front two suburban houses. Even before suburbanites came to rely on the convenience of shopping malls in later years, they could avail themselves of the store's home delivery service, which had started in the 1890s as part of Halle Bros.'s mail-order business. In 1910, Halle Bros. converted to a fleet of motorized delivery vehicles made by Cleveland-based White Motor Co. and auctioned off its team of horses, seven delivery wagons, and related accoutrements. | Date: 1930 | Source: Cleveland Memory, Michael Schwartz Library Special Collections at Cleveland State University
