A Bustling Place in the Roaring Twenties

A Bustling Place in the Roaring Twenties
This photo of Market Square, taken in 1928, shows that, while the Pearl Street Market House was razed in 1915, open air market activities still continued outdoors on the Square for decades. In the background, on the left, you can see part of the Woolworth Five and Dime Store which then stood on the northwest corner of Market and West 25th Streets. | Source: Cleveland Public Library, Photograph Collection
