A Bird in the Hand.

A Bird in the Hand.
In this 1928 photograph, a shopper strolls by vegetable stands at the West Side Market with a live goose tucked firmly at his side. Some Clevelanders may remember when live poultry was sold at the Market. Many more have heard stories of it that were passed down to them by their parents and grandparents. | Source: Cleveland Public Library, Photograph Collection
