The West Side YWCA

The West Side YWCA
In 1913, the Cleveland YWCA established a west side branch for west side girls. Two of Franklin Boulevard's grand homes located on the southeast corner of Franklin and West 32nd Street, diagonally across from the West Side YMCA, served as the girl's YWCA. The photo above is of the Judge James Coffinberry House at 3105 Franklin Boulevard which was used by the junior girls department of the YWCA. The photo was taken in 1920. The Coffinberry House was razed in 1928 to make room for a new YWCA residence hall and apartment house. | Source: Cleveland Public Library, Photograph Collection
