This 1937 photograph shows Chester Avenue west of Euclid Avenue. This section of the road was constructed in 1931. The intersecting street in the middle of the photograph is Lower East Boulevard (Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard). The Church on the northwest corner of that intersection is the Epworth-Euclid Methodist Church, which today is known as the University Circle United Methodist Church.
