The Chester Speedway

The Chester Speedway
During the period 1910-1915, Chester Avenue from East 21st to East 28th often served in winter months as a "speedway" for competitive sleigh rides by Cleveland's elite. The speedway was just north of Cleveland's famed Millionaires' Row. This article about winter races on the Chester Speedway appeared in the Cleveland Plain Dealer edition of January 25, 1915. | Source: Cleveland Public Library, Digital Newspaper Collection
