Bertram Woods Branch

Bertram Woods Branch
In June, 1960, the Bertram Woods branch of the Shaker Heights Public Library opened its doors to the public. Eight hundred children visited the new building during its first week in operation. Property for the library on Fayette Road was willed to Shaker Heights by railroad engineer Bertram Woods. He requested that his estate go to the library that served his home farm. | Source: Shaker Heights Public Library, Local History Collection
