Storefront Library Reference Desk
The storefront library on Lee Road was both designed and initially operated as an adult library. The first institution of its kind in Shaker Heights, newspapers reported that several thousand visitors attended the first public inspection of the grounds in June of 1938. Children's books were added to the library collection later that summer.
