Expressway Route Through Gordon Park, 1951 ID: 8530 | This file appears in: Cleveland Lakefront Reservation The Shoreway was a WPA-built upgrade of the old Bulkley Boulevard on the West Side to expressway status. Completed in 1938, it created a formidable barrier in the middle of Edgewater Park. When finally completed on the East Side in 1953, after more than a decade of construction in phases, Cleveland's Shoreway cut directly through Gordon Park. | Creator: Herman Seid | Date: September 10, 1951 | Source: Cleveland Memory Project, Cleveland State University Library Special Collections Download Original File CreatorHerman SeidSourceCleveland Memory Project, Cleveland State University Library Special CollectionsDateSeptember 10, 1951 "Expressway Route Through Gordon Park, 1951" appears in: Cleveland Lakefront Reservation
