Mildred (Mueller) Miller (b. 1924)
A 1943 graduate of West High School, Mueller, who changed her name professionally to Miller, is a former mezzo soprano who became a star of the Metropolitan Opera Company in the 1950s. In 1950 she married Wesley Posvar, also a 1943 West High graduate, who rose to the rank of Brigadier General in the Air Force and later served as Chancellor for the University of Pittsburgh.
