Cleveland Union Terminal Viaduct, ca. 1926

In the mid-1920s, construction began on a lengthy new high-level bridge for the Cleveland Union Terminal tracks over the Cuyahoga River. A good number of the bridge's piers were planted on Cleveland Centre, resulting in further damage to the original radial street plan.
