The River Road Camp and Centerville Mills Camp were the YMCAs largest camping facilities near Cleveland during the 1950s and 1960s. At the North Chagrin Reservation camp, nearly 1,500 boys could annually partake in 10-day excursions into the woods. The boys generally arrived in batches of 175, and lived in groups of nine with a counselor. | Source: Cleveland Metroparks
