By 1939, CCC workers had planted over 8,000 trees in the Cleveland Metroparks. Also included on their list of impressive achievements: a shelter house was built in Euclid Creek Reservation, four flood walls were constructed along Euclid Creek, two picnic areas and three parking lots were developed, abandoned bluestone quarries were filled, assistance was provided in remodeling the North Chagrin Trailside Museum, and rustic signs were hand-carved for Euclid Creek and North Chagrin Reservations. | Source: Courtesy of Cleveland MetroparksDownload Original File
