Workers and their Lathes
The above photo shot in 1940 shows the size of the machine shop at Warner & Swasey on the eve of the United States' entry into World War II. During the War, machinists like these shown in the photo manufactured parts for the planes, ships, and tanks that helped the Allies win the war.
