Telling's Strollers on Film, 1914
The Class A series between the Telling's Strollers and the Street Cleaners generated a high level of public interest. With the first match drawing an estimated 40,000 spectators in bad weather, the next game was expected to draw record setting crowds. Efforts were made to document the event. Not only was the final game photographed and filmed, but officials of CABA were loaned 50 clockers from Bell Telephone Co. to be used by volunteers for gathering correct attendance figures. Attendance of the match was estimated at 83,000. | Date: 1914
