Arcy Ad, 1936
This advertisement touts Arcy's unique construction method, which combined structural steel and sheet steel covered by cork insulation and faced with brick or stone. Arcy Corporation, based in New York, built five homes in the $15,000 range in Forest Hill. One of them, at Monticello and Newbury Drive, was furnished by Halle Bros. department store as a demonstration. Its plans to build many more such houses fell through amid Depression woes.
