While a fixture in local history for the incredible influence they had in shaping the City of Cleveland, the Van Sweringen brothers are also remembered for their close relationship to one another. Devoted to work and shy in habits, the two never married and were rarely seen apart. Eventually they moved from their home at 17400 South Park to a reclusive mansion known as Daisy Hill, where they employed no servants and were rumored to sleep in twin beds. | Source: Shaker Historical Society
