Cleveland Orchestra, 1946
The Cleveland Orchestra performs under George Szell at Severance Hall in 1946. Szell was musical director from 1946 to 1970 and was the driving force behind the 1958 renovation. He is also credited with creating the sound the Cleveland Orchestra is now known for.
