Advertisement for Home in the Sky
This ad appears the day before the dedication of the Home in the Sky. The illustration in the ad is a cutaway view of the house, which was actually encased in a 51-foot-high center court rising from the 17th through 18th floors. The city's new signature Terminal Tower appears in the distance. The Builders Exchange Building, later renamed Guildhall Building and then Landmark Office Towers, was only several months old at the time and was part of the emerging Terminal Group, a monumental "city within a city." | Date: April 3, 1930 | Source: Plain Dealer Archives / Cleveland Public Library
