A. Donald Gray (1891-1939) was paramount in the design and layout of Fairhill Road Village. Gray's work with Frederick Law Olmsted Jr whose father, Frederick Law Olmsted, pioneered the blending of natural beauty in urban settings with landmarks like Central Park. Olmsted's influence can be seen in Fairhill's balance of nature and structure.
