Trip to Egypt

Cleveland newspapers noted several trips that John and Sarah Bousfield, both immigrants from England, made back to Europe during their marriage. On at least one of those trips, they were accompanied by their daughter Charlotte. After selling her parents' house in 1909, Charlotte and her sister Emma went on a trip that took them around the world. In this photograph taken on December 16, 1909, they are visiting a pyramid in Egypt. Sitting on camels, Charlotte is the first woman on the left; Emma the second.
